Poland Day Five

We are proud of the vibrant and flourishing youth movement that Canadian Young Judaea is. Today our campers toured the historic Warsaw Ghetto. Where amongst other things, we learned about the many Zionist youth movements that had members our camper's age. They learned about how their madrichim organized the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and led them through a revolt against the Nazis. Through this event we discussed what it means to be a hero, what heroism is, and the difficult choices that many had to make in the Warsaw Ghetto. Afterwords, our campers had some free time in Old Warsaw, exploring the vibrant parts of the city.
