Poland Day One
Shalom Biluim Israel Family and Friends,
Our Poland participants have finally arrived in Warsaw and are all settled in. As soon as the campers arrived, we had our first tour at the Jewish Cemetery, where we opened a conversation to how life was like in Poland before the war. While little Jewish community in Warsaw remains, a cemetery gives us a glimpse into what kind of community once existed and thrived here.
After debriefing and getting checked in to the hotel, the adult group joined us for a wonderful Shabbat dinner. I have attached a series of photos where most campers should be visible!
Everyone is already fast asleep from a long day of traveling, resting up for an interesting day of activities tomorrow.
